An efficient process from design to finished laser cut workpiece

Trotec laser cutting machines are compatible with both RIP and CAD software making integration into your existing workflow process seamless. Trotec's UniDrive is a fully automated PDF and DXF interface allowing data to be sent to the laser cutting machine from the prepress. Work can also be prepared via monitored folders, known as “Hot Folders.” The UniDrive interface negates the requirement for time consuming preparation and parameterisation of cutting data.

Monitored folders or "Hot Folders"

“Hot Folders” include all the relevant information required for laser processing, from laser parameters to the position of the job on the laser machine bed and grid resolution. Once files are exported from the RIP software and stored in their relevant “Hot Folder” they will appear in the job list in the JobControl^® laser software. They can then be released by the operator. For applications such as digital printing and print and cut JobControl® Vision further optimises the workflow allowing for precise and accurate laser cutting of pre-printed materials. workflow.

Calculated planning

Another advantage of an integrated workflow is that processing times can be accurately calculated in advance for production planning purposes. Accurate planning of laser cutting and laser engraving times ensures maximum utilisation if the laser cutter machine, especially on large production runs.
