High-quality mode is a function in JobControl® laser software. Using the function is as simple as a single mouse click to enable your laser engraving results to be the finest quality. Due to the focus on quality, the laser engraving time is longer. High-quality mode can be used whenever you want a high-quality laser engraving and time is not a crucial factor. For applications which do not require detailed engraving results, the speed setting can be selected.
In High-quality mode, the laser travels across the entire width of the workpiece at the same speed whilst laser engraving only the defined areas. This means that the jobs are engraved at the same speed across the entire workpiece. The finished result is a homogeneous laser engraving.
When High-quality mode is not activated, the laser head typically travels at a higher speed over the width of the area to be engraved and not the full workpiece. This results in different exposure times, with laser engraving the material deeper in some places.
Summary: Always activate High-quality mode when a high-quality laser engraving result is required and time is not a critical factor.
Follow three easy steps to activate High-quality mode:
We recommend that this function is always used when a quality laser engraving result is required. Do not use this mode for time critical jobs.
Tip: Lower resolutions save time but will also lower the quality of the finished laser engraving result
The standard recommended laser parameters on our website always have High-quality mode activated to ensure optimal quality results!
