Sometimes, the connection to the laser machine will be interrupted. You'll receive a notification in JobControl® saying "connection to engraver is broken". If this happens to you, there is likely an issue with the Windows settings for your USB connection. You can easily fix this problem by updating your settings in Windows. Below, you will find a step-by-step guide to establish a functioning USB connection.
1. Go to the 'control panel' menu and select "All System Control Elements" or even "System & Security".
3. Within the tab "Device Manager", select the USB interface you intend to use. Now, go to "Energy Management" and right-click on "Adjustments". Deselect "Computer can switch off the device to save energy".
Finally, you can re-connect the laser to your PC using the command in JobContol®. The problem should be fixed.
