Step 1

Step 1: Mount the rotary attachment

The laser machine must be switched off before mounting the rotary attachment and plugging it in. Once connected the laser can be switched on and the glass inserted into the rotary attachment.

Step 2: Prepare the glass

To prepare the glass you will need a paper towel, some water and a sponge or a spray. To prevent the glass splintering apply a paper towel to the surface and moisten it. Use a sponge or a spray to do this. To get a perfect result make sure that there are no wrinkles or air bubbles in the towl.

Step 3: Put the glass into the rotary attachment

Put your prepared glass into the rotary attachment making sure it is firmly attached. For conical glasses adjust the inclination angle until the surface you want to engrave is in a parallel position.

Step 4: Laser engraving your glass

Import the PDF file into Corel Draw and customise it to suit your requirements. You can also make your own design. Whichever you choose send it to the laser. Make sure that you have activated the rotary attachment and entered the diameter of the glass in the properties dialog (see screenshot in the slideshow above).
