This tutorial will show you how to use TroLase Foil to create inspection stickers.
- 1 sheet TroLase Foil green
- Paper to cover the engraving table
Laser engraving machine:
- Speedy 360, 70 watts
- 1.5" lens
- Vacuum table with honeycomb cutting table
Any Speedy laser machine can be used to create this sample.
TroLase Foil metallic can also be processed using a fiber laser (For more information on using this laser source, see our Trophy Label tutorial.)
The first part of this process is to make your own design or import our template. If you choose our template you will need to adapt it to your requirements. Use the driver settings below when sending the job to the laser.
|Process mode||Resolution||Cut line|
|Colour||Optimised geometries, inner geometries first|
Place the TroLase Foil into your Trotec laser machine and cover the rest of the engraving table with paper to maximise the vacuum effect. Start the laser engraving from the bottom to prevent the dust from settling on the engraved areas. The parameters will differ depending on your laser machine and laser power available.
|Process||Colour||Process||Power (%)||Speed (%)|
|Laser engraving||black||Engrave CO2||60||80|
|Laser cutting||blue||Cut CO2||40||2|
|600||1||on||+0.5 mm||High Quality|
When kiss-cutting you cut through only the top layer of the sticker material, leaving the backing layer intact. This allows the stickers to be easily peeled and removed from the backing layer.
Clean the sheet using a damp cloth. Leave the material in the machine with the vacuum activated, as this will make the cleaning process easier.
- Use TroLase Foil red material to produce additional labels for different products
- You can easily adapt the graphics and personalise the labels
- For large quantities or mass production we recommend our Galvo CO2 laser GS1000
