Paper wedding invite

Use your laser engraving machine to create a wedding invite with intricate details. This design can also be used for other applications including menu cards and place cards.


Preparation

Materials required:

  • Cardboard Artoz 220gm², Colour: bamboo No. 287
  • cardboard Artoz 220gm², colour: chamois no. 241
  • Transparent paper 90gm²
  • 5 adhesive dots/card
  • Ready printed folding inlays made of e.g. 120gm² paper with information for the celebration

Laser cutting machine used:

  • Speedy 400
  • 120 watts
  • 2" lens
  • Nozzle with small hole diameter
  • Honeycomb cutting tabletop

This card can of course also be made with all other machines of the Speedy laser engraver series.

Step by Step

Step 1: Cardboard Artoz 220gm²: Design

Use our pre-made template or create your own design. Send the job for the green and then also for the cream cardboard to the laser with the settings below.

Step 2: Laser process Artoz 220gm²

Now create the parameters. These parameters will vary depending on your laser machine and the available laser power. 
These settings apply to both the green and cream cardboard.

Step 3: Transparent paper 90gm²: Import/create laser template

Create your own design or use our free template for the transparent paper and send it to the laser with the settings below.

Step 4: Laser process transparent paper 90gm²

Create the laser parameters, which will vary depending on the laser machine and the available laser power.

Step 5: Assembly

  1. Stick 4 adhesive dots inside the marking line on the front of the green card.
  2. Fold the green card along the centerline. Remove the masking paper from the adhesive dots and fix the cream card to the front of the green card. Orient yourself by the marking line.
    Now insert the prepared, ready-printed folded insert with the information on the celebration into the folding card.
  3. Fold the transparent paper tab along the two vertical lines.
  4.  Now place the transparent tab on the invitation card so that the motifs lie on top of each other.
  5. Finally, turn the card over and glue the transparent paper tab to the overlap with a glue dot.
