In 2018 they celebrated the company's 10 year anniversary, having grown to include a dedicated team of 19 members of staff.
We pride ourselves on achieving and maintaining a 5 star customer service rating, reflected across globally trusted review sites such as Feefo. This status can only be achieved by utilising the best tools in the engraving industry and producing products of excellent quality. Trotec lasers are those tools. The service we received from Trotec was excellent. From the quick delivery of their machines to the speedy set up and after sale-service, we know that we can rely on Trotec to continue to help our business grow.
At the start of the business, Andy and Tracy purchased a mechanical engraving machine and a laser engraver for processing their products.
These machines provided an excellent foundation for the business. However, when the business began to grow, the machines started to show their limitations. In particular, the speed of processing made it difficult to fulfil production orders within the required timescales. The workflow also became cumbersome, as the order book grew, the software made it difficult to store and retrieve previous jobs.
Andrew and Tracey began to search for alternative machinery that would help them to continue to develop their customer service and build on their product portfolio. After research into laser suppliers, they contacted Trotec laser and booked a demonstration at their local showroom.
Since purchasing their first Speedy 300 laser engraver, Keep It Personal has gone from strength to strength. Their actual machine park includes 10 Trotec laser machines and has allowed the company's product portfolio to grow to include over 1000 products that are ready to personalize. The speed and quality of the machines allow the company to react quickly to produce bespoke customer orders and bulk orders in a minimum amount of time.
One of the stand out features of the Speedy 300 for Keep It Personal is the glass processing capabilities. Using the rotary attachment, the laser can handle a range of different glassware. During the initial demonstration, Andy and Tracey saw how much quicker the machine was compared to their mechanical engraver. However, it also proved to be 50% quicker than their existing laser for this process, meaning throughput and productivity is much improved.
Trotec's JobControl software has also been a huge benefit to Keep It Personal, through easy storage and recall of laser settings for different materials ensuring optimal and consistent results each time, thus saving on set up time and reducing wasted materials. This allows them to easily store all the settings for their various materials and products which reduces job set up time, while the ability to preview their job and see exactly where the laser head is positioned on the workpiece help to reduce wasted materials.
