First graders will love this colorful pen holder. We have worked with acrylic remnants in different colors. But also in alder or poplar plywood, this useful organizer will look good on any desk.

Preparation

Required material

3 mm acrylic (a perfect way for using material remnants)

Trotec laser used
  • Speedy 300
  • 60 watts
  • 2.5 inch lens
Tips
  • Use the 2.5" lens
  • Use a cutting table. This will prevent beam reflections on the backside of the material.

Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Cut the acrylic with the laser

Open the "acrylic-penbox" file and send it to the laser. You can start cutting the acrylic immediately. The laser parameters depend on the machine used and the available laser power; they may therefore vary.

Recommended cutting parameters (red):

Power: 100 %, speed 0.8 %, frequency 8500 Hz, Air Assist on

Step 2

Step 2: Assemble the penbox

Once you have cut all parts you can assemble the penbox.
