Acrylic Penbox
Cut with a Laser
Kids will love this colourful pen holder, but so will anyone with enough pens to make their desk look untidy! We've used acrylic remnants in various colours to produce this, but it would also look great in alder or poplar plywood.
Preparation
Required material
- 3 mm acrylic (a perfect way for using material leftovers)
Trotec laser used
- Speedy 300
- 60 watts
- 2.5 inch lens
Tips
- Use a cutting table. This will prevent beam reflections on the back side of the material
- Use a 2.5" lens

Step by Step

Step 1: Cut the acrylic with the laser
First of all we have to download the template and send it to the laser. There's no need to modify it in your graphics software, unless of course you want to customise our design. Otherwise, simply start cutting immediately.
The laser cutting machine parameters depend on your laser cutter and the power you have available.
Recommended cutting parameters:
Power: 100 %, speed 0.8 %, frequency 8500 Hz, Air Assist on

Step 2: Assemble the penbox
Once all the parts have been cut, all that's left to do is assemble your penbox. Just follow these simple assembly instructions and you're done!
