Custom Laser Marking for Oversized Parts: SpeedMarker 1600 Solution
Tailored laser marking solutions for large industrial components with the SpeedMarker 1600
In industrial manufacturing, marking large components efficiently and safely presents unique challenges. Trotec's customized solution using the SpeedMarker 1600 addresses these needs with precision and adaptability. Designed for oversized workpieces, this tailored laser marking system combines advanced safety features, user-friendly design, and flexible configuration options. In this article, we explore how the integration of a custom attachment transforms the SpeedMarker 1600 into a powerful tool for processing long parts—ensuring seamless operation without compromising on quality or safety.

Marking a component is often just one step in a larger production workflow. In industrial settings, the parts requiring identification are frequently oversized, which introduces unique challenges. That’s why safety and efficiency are top priorities—especially when it comes to laser marking solutions tailored for large-scale applications.
How to safely laser mark oversized parts?
Safe laser marking of large products We offer our customers a wide range of options when it comes to customising our laser systems. In this particular case, the customer required a closed laser system that could process long parts. This was achieved by adding an attachment to a SpeedMarker 1600.

Smart loading, perfect alignment: The hidden advantages of our custom solution
- An efficient workflow is important to many of our customers. That is why we pay attention to many "little things" to make it as easy as possible for you. For example, this system can also be loaded through the side door. The door is sensor controlled to ensure Class 2 laser safety. This means that the laser process can only be started when the door is closed.
- The T-slot plate in the work area has also been adapted to the same height as the attachment. This means that these long parts can always be machined without the need for additional workpiece holders and height compensation.
- The standard marking area of the SpeedMarker 1600 remains unchanged at 1,300 x 450 millimetres, ensuring the usual flexibility.
- The custom made solution is controlled by the proven SpeedMark® software, so there is no need to compromise on ease of use.
