New: TroWood Color

Marchtrenk, October 16th, 2025 – We’re proud to announce the launch of TroWood Color, a groundbreaking addition to our laserable materials portfolio. Developed for creative professionals and laser businesses, TroWood Color is the first opaque lacquered MDF designed to deliver flawless engraving and cutting performance on both CO₂ and diode laser systems.

Whether you're creating signage, personalized products, or decorative pieces, TroWood Color offers a tactile, aesthetic alternative to plastics and acrylics—without compromising on quality or efficiency.

Designed for creative freedom

TroWood Color features a perfectly flat, high-quality MDF core coated with a vivid, opaque lacquer on both sides. This unique combination ensures:

  • Smooth, high-quality surface
  • Crisp engraving detail
  • Consistent color intensity

Available in six vibrant, on-trend colors, TroWood Color gives designers more flexibility than traditional lacquered MDF, which is often limited to white and prone to damage. Compared to color-through plywood, it offers superior flatness, stability, and bold, uniform color.

Compatible with CO₂ and diode lasers

Unlike acrylics, which can be difficult to cut with diode lasers, TroWood Color’s wood-based core is optimized for clean, efficient cutting on both CO₂ and diode systems. It has been rigorously tested to ensure high-contrast engraving results, making it a reliable choice for users who previously avoided colored materials due to poor laser compatibility.

The pre-applied lacquer finish eliminates the need for painting, drying, or masking—saving valuable production time. Plus, its durable surface resists residue buildup, so dust wipes away in seconds.

Ready to use, straight from the supplier

As demand grows for warm, natural-looking materials that are ready to use, TroWood Color offers the perfect blend of wood appeal and production efficiency. With its flawless surface and premium look and feel, it sets a new benchmark for laserable MDF.

We’re proud to be the first to introduce this innovative material to the market—engineered, tested, and proven for outstanding performance across all major laser types.
