Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Laser cut the acrylic lamp

Used cutting parameters:

Blue: power: 100 %, speed 0.7 %, frequency 9000 Hz, Air Assist on
Red: power: 60 %, speed 1.0 %, frequency 9000 Hz, Air Assist on, z-offset 3 mm

First, you'll need to download the template file for this wonderful piece of furniture and send it to the laser.

Then choose your favourite colour and starting cutting the acrylic that the lamp will be made out of. The parameters you use to cut will differ depending on your machine and the laser power you have available. To fit the socket of the light bulb, emboss the edge with cutting lines. This is an alternative to engraving the area, and thanks to defocusing, the laser beam is wider and the cutting lines overlap. This method allows you to achieve an engraving effect with cutting lines.

Step 2

Step 2: Assemble the acyrlic lamp
