Preparation
Materials required
- TroWood- Solid Wood Walnut- 1 sheet
- TroGlitter- 1/4 Sheet
- Hook to hang the ornament- 1 qty
Machine Used
- Speedy 360
- 80 Watt
- 2" Lens
- Honeycomb cutting table- used for cutting the TroWood tree
- Acrylic cutting grid table- used for cutting the TroGlass ornament
Any of the Speedy series or other Trotec CO2 laser systems would be suitable for processing this application.
Tip
This application can be customized to your specifications in an endless amount of textures and color configurations. Consider using any of the other options from the TroWood collection or your favorite color from the wide assortment of offerings in the TroGlass series. This will allow you to tailor the application to your own personality or provide your customers with even more individuality and flexibility.

Step 1: Design
Create your own preferred design or take advantage of our complimentary template. Once you have determined which file will be used, send the graphic to the laser cutter using the following recommended print settings:

Tip:
To ensure that the tree is able to stand upright without any issues, make sure to properly measure the base thickness in advance and verify that it is appropriate for your specific tree. We recommend starting with a cutting gap of roughly 0.2mm when using a 2” lens.

Step 2: Laser engrave and cut the tree stand
Laser parameters will vary depending on the laser machine being used as well as the available power, but we recommend using the following parameters for this step:

Tip:
To achieve a greater contrast during the laser engraving process, lift the Z-Offset to around +4mm.

Step 4: Laser cut the ornament
Send the laser parameters for the ornament to the machine, but please note, the required settings will vary by laser manufacturer as well as the systems available power.

Step 5: Assemble the Christmas tree
Position the body of the tree into the base plate and hang the ornament from the tree branch using your hook. Once assembly is completed, you can now enjoy your beautiful and festive holiday décor!
