LJ Industries – Laser as a Driver of Industrial Innovation
From Annecy, LJ Industries combines mechanical precision with cutting-edge laser technology to deliver custom solutions to its clients.
Founded in 2007, LJ Industries has established itself in the field of industrial mechanics. Based in Annecy, the company specializes in precision mechanics, machining, bar turning, welding, and the assembly of mechanical sub-assemblies. With a team of six employees, LJ Industries supports its clients in producing complex industrial components – from design to delivery.
“Our core business was originally purely mechanical. But our clients' growing traceability requirements quickly led us to invest in laser technology,” explains Laurent Perrissin-Fabert, co-manager of the company.

A key encounter with Trotec
LJ Industries discovered Trotec laser machines at the C!Print trade show in Lyon while searching for a high-precision engraving solution.
“Trotec offered to carry out test engravings on our parts. The results were validated by our end customer, which convinced us of the reliability and accuracy of their machines.”
Since then, several Trotec systems have become essential to the company's production processes.
From engraving to full-service solutions: an offer that wins clients over
Today, LJ Industries oversees the entire production of certain parts and products – from design and manufacturing to engraving and final delivery.
Often, clients initially approach us with a laser engraving request. But thanks to our mechanical know-how, we’re able to offer a complete solution,

A high-performance, complementary machine park
Today, LJ Industries operates several Trotec systems:
• The CO₂ laser machines, Speedy 100 and Speedy 400, are used for cutting and engraving a wide range of materials, including personalized promotional items. They also enable the in-house production of all positioning jigs required for serial manufacturing, offering great flexibility for small and medium production runs.
• The two SpeedMarker 1300 machines, equipped with fiber laser sources, are central to the company’s metal marking operations. They ensure precise, repeatable, and high-speed engraving even on large production volumes. Fully integrated into the production flow, they provide durable and compliant markings that meet the highest industrial standards.
Ruby®: a new level of flexibility
Upgrading to Ruby® software marked a turning point.
“Now, the entire team can operate the CO₂ machines smoothly. The workflow has become more flexible and efficient,” says Dylan Broutissou, laser engraving technician.
Thanks to Trotec’s ready-to-use materials and fast delivery, LJ Industries ensures continuous production with no downtime.

Laser at the core of industrial innovation
Originally introduced to meet client traceability requirements, laser technology has become a true catalyst for transformation at LJ Industries. By replacing certain traditional machining steps with faster and more precise laser processes, the company has optimized costs and gained greater flexibility. Over time, the range of applications has expanded: technical engraving, part customization, jig production, and more.
Today, laser is a central pillar in LJ Industries’ industrial strategy. Backed by its partnership with Trotec, the company continues to innovate and strengthen its position in the custom manufacturing market.
