Step by Step

Step 1: Design

You can use the template we have provided or, alternatively, you can create your own exquisite design. Send the final graphic to the laser machine using the following settings:

Process Mode Resolution Cut Line
Standard 500dpi None
Halftone Others
Colour Optimal Geometries, Inner Geometries First

Tip:

In order to ensure the Christmas tree is stable and sturdy, it is important to measure the thickness of the wooden plate in advance. A simple guideline - begin with a cutting gap of approximately 0.2mm when cutting with a 2" lens.

Step 2: Laser Process - Tree

Now enter the parameter settings. Remember these may vary depending on the laser machine being used and its available laser power:

Laser Parameters Colour Process Power (%) Speed (%) ppi/Hz
Engraving Black Engrave CO2 50 50 500
Cutting Red Cut CO2 95 0.8 1000
Laser Parameters Passes Air Assist Z-Offset Direction Advanced
Engraving 1 ON +4mm Down -
Cutting 1 ON - - -

Tip:

To achieve a higher engraving contrast, lift the Z-Offset to about +4mm.

Step 3: Bauble

We have also provided a template and design for the bauble. However, why not get your creative juices flowing and design your own personalised ornament? Once the graphic is finalised, send it to the laser machine using the following print settings:

Process Mode Resolution Cut Line
Standard 500dpi None
Halftone Others
Colour Optimal Geometries, Inner Geometries First

Step 4: Laser Process - Bauble

Send the following parameters for the bauble to your laser machine. Please note that the settings may vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available power.

Laser Parameters: Cutting

Colour Process Power (%) Speed (%) ppi/Hz
Red Cut CO2 50 0.2 5000
Passes Air Assist Z-Offset Direction Advanced
