Create a design or use our own files. Change it to meet your needs. Send the laser cutting job for the base plate to the laser with the following driver settings.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Cut Job | 1000 dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Color | Optimized geometries, inner geometries first |
Place the sheet of TroGlass Clear on the acrylic cutting grid of your laser and insert the 2.5" lens. Next, cut the base with the settings below. These settings may change depending on which laser machine you use and the power available.
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
red | Cut CO2 | 95 | 0.2 | 20000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | -3 mm | - |
We use the standard settings for TroGlass Clear (speed optimized) from JobControl®.
Send the file for the grass to the laser machine with the following settings.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500 dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Color | Optimized geometries |
Place the dark green transparent TroGlass on the acrylic cutting grid for your laser. For this step and all following steps, use the 2" lens in your laser. Use the following settings to engrave and cut the grass design. These settings may change depending on the laser machine you use and the power available.
Process | Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Engraving | black | Engrave CO2 | 14 | 20 |
Cutting | red | Cut CO2 | 100 | 1 |
ppi/Hz | Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|---|
500 | 1 | on | 0mm | High Quality |
1000 | 1 | on | - | - |
Begin engraving from the bottom of the workpiece so that dust doesn't settle on the engraving.
Next, we send the design for the solid wooden stem to the laser with the following print settings.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Cut Job | 1000 dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
- | Optimized geometries |
Switch the acrylic cutting grid with the honeycomb cutting table and place the walnut sheet on it. Maximize the vacuum suction by covering the rest of the engraving area. Then, cut the material with the following settings:
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
red | Cut CO2 | 100 | 1 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | - | - |
When you cover the engraving area, a vacuum is created which is important to get a clean, even cut.
Then send the design for the abstract blossoms to your laser machine.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Cut Job | 1000 dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
- | Optimized Geometries, Inner Geometries first |
Place the maple veneer sheet within the laser and carefully cover the rest of the engraving table to make a vacuum. Then use the settings below to cut the blossoms:
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
red | Cut CO2 | 100 | 1.2 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | - | - |
If you cut the whole sheet, focus on the middle of the material to account for any changes in thickness.
Place the stem inside the base and dress it up with the blossoms. Feel free to mix in both big and small blossoms. Lastly, put the grass inside the base, and your creative Mother's Day bouquet is finished.
Twisted blades of grass are an additional way to catch someone's attention. To make these, place the blades of grass in a bench vice or other heat-resistant grip. Use a hot air gun to carefully heat the filigree grass, then manipulate and twist the heated acrylic. Make sure to wear gloves! Keep the acrylic in place until it is cooled. With a bit of practice, it's possible to get incredible objects.
Use different colours or kinds of TroGlass (e.g., TroGlass Satins or Frosted) to convert the "flower bouquet" into a work of fine art.
