Non-stop laser cutting with the Tandem Assist
The Tandem Assist provides efficient and error-free support to the operator in his workflow. With this JobControl® laser software function, the work area can be virtually split into two zones. While the laser cutter in zone A is processing the material, the finished parts can be removed in zone B and the work area can be reloaded. This minimizes idle times and significantly increases productivity.
The operator activates the Tandem Assist with a few clicks in the JobControl® laser software. After defining zones A and B, the operator places the jobs on the virtual work area.
The start command is then given directly at the laser cutter. This is done by pressing the Ready button. Now, the sheet material is processed in Zone A. Zone B is only processed by the laser cutter once it has been released by pressing the ready button in Zone B.
The alternating release of the zone currently being processed frees up the operator and ensures error-free operation. After processing a zone, the Tandem Assist does not allow the same zone to be reprocessed. This ensures a continuous "pendulum" between the zones.
