Step by Step instruction
This unique Christmas tree is an eye-catcher for a lobby, shops or in your home. (Find engraving materials for this and other applications at: www.trotec-materials.com.)
For this sample we recommend using any laser machine from the SP laser cutter series.
Each laser machine is unique, so you may have to adjust the slots to suit the lens you are using to get a nice friction fit.
Make your own design or import our template. Send it to the laser with the recommended laser parameters. The parameters might vary depending on the machine used and the available laser power.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500 dpi | None |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Black & White | Enhanced Geometries Inner - Geometries First |
Position the material into your laser and cover the rest of the table to increase the exhaust power. You will need 6 side parts (2 on each sheet) and 4 disks. Remove the protective foil after the cutting is complete.

To assemble the Christmas tree, friction fit each section into the discs. Place the largest disc at the base. Note: the disc at the top of the tree is the one with two extra slots for securing the star on top of the tree.
Now you can put your ornaments on the tree. Or you can decorate it with individually produced TroGlass ornaments. Scroll down to the end of the page to view a large selection of designs.
