For the fifth year now, Trotec will be presenting at the 14th international FabLab conference in Toulouse, France. From July 16th - 20th, FabLab network members from across the globe will come together to share, discuss, collaborate and create new communities dedicated to digital manufacturing, innovation and technology.
FAB14 gives visitors the opportunity to meet some amazing exhibitors and see some incredible demonstrations. There are hands-on activities and seminars featuring global opinion leaders and visionaries. This year, the focus will be on the idea of Fabricating Resilience, which represents sharing experiences and creating a collaborative network. 5 topics have thus been created that will make a huge impact in the immediate region: These are food, mobility, machines, money & access.
M.I.T. professor Neil Gershenfeld shares his vision about the future of FabLabs and how Trotec laser machines can contribute to this important development.
Some very experienced Trotec users will be introducing the maker community to the wonders of laser technology in a series of workshops. Trotec’s Speedy laser machines are, in fact, ideal for many typical applications in FabLabs such as model making, prototyping, industrial design and DIY. Graphics and designs can be sent to the laser machine immediately for easy testing. The innovative and patented Flexx technology offers unlimited possibilities for creative laser applications. Practically any material can be laser engraved or cut with our Speedy Flexx flatbed systems.
