Model making is now environmentally friendly thanks to TroCraft Eco. Create your own rocking chair model using TroCraft Eco by following the simple step-by-step guide below.
What do you need?
- 1 sheet of TroCraft Eco 1.0mm
- Cover material
Using your selected design software, import and edit the project template. Once ready, print the file to your Trotec laser machine with the following recommended settings:
|Process mode||Resolution||Cut line|
|Standard Job||500 dpi||none|
|Color||Optimised geometries, inner geometries first|
Lay the TroCraft Eco sheet onto the bed of your new Trotec Speedy 400. We suggest using the cutting table. Cover the remaining bed area for cleaner cut lines and a higher quality end result. The quality is further boosted with the new OptiMotion™ path planning function, which adjusts the cutting speed automatically to adapt to the geometry being cut. Note that the parameters may vary depending on the laser and laser power:
|Laser process||Color||Process||Power (%)||Speed (%)||ppi/Hz|
|Passes||Air ASsist||Z-offset||Direction||Path planning||Advanced|
|1||ON||0mm||Top Down||-||High Quality|
Thanks to the new OptiMotion™ function, it's easy to determine the cutting parameters for the the new Speedy 400. To find the right settings for your chosen material, test at 100% speed. If the parameter cuts through at the selected speed, this is the right choice to use for any projects using this material. This means the parameter will still offer the same quality cut result on angular shapes or detailed, small, circular geometries. To ensure a clean cut line we recommend that you adjust the speed by adjusting the frquency.
Simply assemble the three components and you've created your own rocking chair model.
TroCraft Eco is an environmentally friendly wood sheet manufactured from pure cellulose fiber. It is fully biodegradable, emission and additive free and is perfectly suited for a range of applications that require stability, flexibility and a strong rigid structure. TroCraft Eco can be used for product and industrial design applications, interior design, sustainable toys and model making.
Once you have mastered the rocking chair model, why not attempt a complete interior, e.g. for a doll house. Combine thicker TroCraft boards for furniture requiring more support. Let your imagination run wild!
