Elegant paper wedding invitation

We show you how to create these stunning wedding invitations using paper material and your Trotec laser engraving machine. This application is incredibly versatile and can be used for menu cards, place cards, wedding decorations and birthday invites!


Preparation

Required material:

  • Cardboard Artoz 220gm², Colour: bamboo No. 287
  • cardboard Artoz 220gm², colour: chamois no. 241
  • Transparent paper 90gm²
  • 5 adhesive dots/card
  • Ready printed folding inlays made of e.g. 120gm² paper with information for the celebration

Machine used:

  • Speedy 400
  • 120 watts
  • 2" lens
  • Nozzle with small hole diameter
  • Honeycomb cutting tabletop

Note: Any laser machine from our Speedy laser engraver series can be used for this application.

The card has a format of 145x145mm.


Step by Step

Step 1: Cardboard Artoz 220gm²: Design

We have provided a template for you to use. You can also create your own design. Using the following settings, send the job for the green and cream cardboard pieces to your laser machine.

Step 2: Laser process Artoz 220gm²

The following laser parameters may vary depending on the laser machine being used and the available laser power. These settings apply to both the green and cream cardboard.

Step 3: Transparent paper 90gm²: Import/create laser template

You can create your own design or use the template we have provided. Using the following settings, send the transparent paper job to the laser machine.

Step 4: Laser process transparent paper 90gm²

Remember, the parameters may vary depending on the laser machine you are using and the available laser power.

Step 5: Assembly

  1. Stick 4 adhesive dots inside the marking line on the front of the green card.
  2. Fold the green card along the centerline. Remove the masking paper from the adhesive dots and stick the cream card to the front of the green card. Use the marking line as a guide.
    Now insert the prepared, ready-printed folded insert with the information on the celebration into the folding card.
  3. Fold the transparent paper tab along the two vertical lines.
  4. Place the transparent tab on the invitation card making sure they lie on top of each other.
  5. Turn the card over and glue the transparent paper tab to the overlap with a glue dot.
