Coat rack for kids
Keeping the kids' rooms tidy is one of the most difficult jobs!
Convincing the little ones to clean up their rooms may be a little easier with a fun and decorative coat tree. This tutorial shows you how to create a custom coat rack for kids.
Preparation

Used Trotec Laser
- Wood: SP1500, 200 watts, 2.5 inch lens
- Decoration: Speedy 360, 80 Watts, 2.0 inch lens
Step by step
Step 1: Tree
Open our "Wood-Tree" file for the tree design template made of MDF and the wooden hooks.
Feel free to customize the design to your children's style. For example, add their favorite animals or your child's name.
Put the wood panel in your SP1500 (200 Watts) and make sure that the smoother side is facing up. Use the small nozzle and the 2.5 inch lens to create perfect cutting edges.
WE USED THE FOLLOWING LASER PARAMETERS:
Cutting: Power: 87% - Speed: 0.6% - Frequency: 1000Hz - Air Assist: Gas1
Cutting-in: Power: 3% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000Hz - Air Assist: ON
Engraving: Power: 20% - Speed: 100% - Frequency: AUTO - Air Assist: ON
We recommend using a fine sandpaper to smooth the edges and remove dust.
Step 2: Decoration
In the PDF "decoration", you will find the graphics for TroLase ADA Signage and TroLase. Use plates with adhesive film on the backside. This makes it easier to apply them on the wood.
WE WORKED WITH A SPEEDY 360 (80 WATTS) AND THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS:
TroLase 1/16"
Cutting: Power: 60% - Speed: 1% - Frequency: 1000Hz -
Air Assist: ON
Engraving: Power: 50% - Speed: 70% - Frequency: 500 ppi -
Air Assist: ON - Z-Offset: 1.5mm
TroLase ADA Signage 1/8"
Cutting: Power: 90% - Speed: 0.5% - Frequency: 1000Hz - Air Assist: ON
Step 3: Assembly
Mount the hooks on the tree with screws. Choose the appropriate position for the hooks based on your child's height. When applying the laminates, make sure there is no dust residue on the wood. The tree looks too boring? Paint the wooden parts with vibrant colors!
Step 4: Install
Install the tree in the desired location. For rubber boots, slippers, and shoes, place a shoe tray in front of the coat tree.
