Laser marking of round workpieces

Round workpieces can be marked with a circumferential marking using various rotary engraving attachments. Preferably, the marking is segmented (i.e. in individual parts). The Speedmark laser software offers all possibilities for the use of a rotary engraving attachment, even using the basic version. Depending on the part size and application, Trotec offers various rotary engraving attachments with options for universal solutions.

With the basic version of the RGV you can cover a wide range of tasks. The standard rotary engraving attachment consists of a universal part mount and is suitable for components up to 1.5 kg and up to 80 mm in diameter, the inclination is infinitely variable from 0-90°. With a base plate that is fixed with centering pins, you can easily insert and align the rotary engraving attachment in the laser workstations of the Speedmark series.

Rotary engraving in precision engineering

The rotary engraving attachment 2 is an extended version for larger components and workpieces. It is designed as a precision version. With a clamping range of 1.5 – 176 mm, an inclination angle of 0-90° and a part weight of up to 10 kg, the application possibilities are very diverse. Depending on the application, you can optionally mount collets as additional mounts for serial labeling. Further options allow almost unlimited possibilities for rotary marking.

The perfect solution for every requirement

If both the standard rotary engraving attachment and the rotary engraving attachment 2 are no longer sufficient, Trotec offers more options for marking the circumference of large, heavy or long components. For example, with a motorized swivel axis you can laser mark the workpieces on the circumference and on the front end in one process. By moving to intermediate positions, you will get additional marking options - so you can mark cones, for example.

Alternatively, large round parts can also be placed on powered rollers and marked. The parts do not need to be clamped. Large round parts can be held with a counter bearing. Rings with large diameters can, for example, be marked using special chuck jaws. We have already implemented a ring marking measuring Ø 250 mm .
