Green Lab is an open innovation lab

About Green Lab.

Founded by Andrew Gregson, Green Lab is an open innovation lab and ecosystem which allows innovators to design sustainable solutions for a variety of applications including urban food. Andrew founded Green Lab to encourage creativity, collaboration, experimentation and fun to allow people to create ideas that can put more natural and healthy food onto peoples tables.

Green Lab's aim is to produce sustainable solutions to complex urban food, water and waste challenges. In order to do this they needed a reliable solution.

Finding a self-sufficient solution.

Green Lab produce a number of items within the lab, including essential items for their work environment including lighting rigs, signage, enclosures and mounting boards for agricultural electronic projects.

Andrew wanted to make the lab self-sufficient and to give members the flexibility required to to be creative and to prototype their designs, as well as producing internal applications for the lab.

Andrew knew that the lab needed a solution which would not only help the lab to achieve these goals, but also to negated the need to purchase products off the shelf. The ability to bring production work in house was also a focus, as outsourcing was not cost effective.

It was these factors which lead to Andrew looking into a laser machine as a potential solution.

Our laser offers us near unlimited ways to be creative and work towards our ultimate goal, with prototypes being produced in a quick and effortless manner. We no longer have to resort to buying products and items off the shelf.
