My profession:
Logistics Worker

Employed with Trotec since:
02 November 2013

My personal work motto:
Make a valuable contribution every day.

This is how I would describe my job to a friend:

Definitely varied. I'm in charge of receiving goods and shipping. This means that am on my feet a lot, which probably saves me from having to go to the gym! I spend half of my time doing administrative tasks, the other half doing manual tasks.

I spend most of my work day...

…always moving: At the forklift, setting up machines, taking charge of goods, or on the computer…

The coolest thing about my job is...

...my colleagues – we're like a family, and we also meet up outside work. Also that my job is very varied -- I'm never in the same place for long.

"I have been working at manufacturing plant 4 only for a short while when I unfortunately made an input error for a delivery: I entered component values and missed the line - instead of the quantity I entered the delivery note number (a 10-digit number). That resulted in a delivery amount of approx. EUR 250 million. Although this was corrected you can still see it in SAP."

The thing I appreciate most about Trotec is:

That employees are appreciated – and also that special care is taken to make sure employees are well matched. I also think that the product is good and has a future. And you can sense the enthusiasm at Trotec, so things stay exciting and there is always something new happening.

Something personal about myself:

I'm married and the father of a one-year-old son, and my second son is on the way. That's why my priority at the moment is my family, so other hobbies like traveling have been scaled down a bit.
