  • Virtual rotary - for distortion-free marking on curved, tilted, and irregularly shaped objects 

  • Focus shifter -for efficient marking on multilevel surfaces without manual repositioning

Focus shifter: consistent marking across multiple height levels in one operation

Marking components with varying heights is a common challenge in industrial production. The Focus Shifter in SpeedMark software solves this by automatically adapting the optical axis—no mechanical Z-axis movement required. 

  • Simple setup: height levels can be added or removed as a single element in the software 

  • Automated focus adjustment for precise, repeatable marking 

  • Shorter cycle times and reduced setup effort 

  • Consistent results on complex shapes and high troughput environments

Virtual rotary: distortion-free marking on curved surfaces

SpeedMark’s Virtual Rotary feature enables accurate marking on complex geometries like tilted planes, spheres, bowls, cylinders, and tubes—without the need for rotary attachments or manual repositioning. 

How it works: 

  • Define the shape using reference points (e.g., three points for a tilted plane, one point plus radius for a sphere) 

  • Enter values manually or capture with the laser pointer 

  • Software calculates the correct focus and marking path automatically
