Tips
Why not experiment with different engravings and artwork for a personalised effect?
Step by step
Step 1: Design
Import our template or create your own design. The file provided is suitable for a 14" laptop, but you can easily adapt it to any other size.
The design consists of two parts: The outer part with pattern; and the inner part with outside contour and marking for the seam.
Send the job to the laser using the following printer driver settings:
Print Settings:
Standard | 500 dpi | none |
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|
Colour | Optimized geometries, inner geometries first |
Halftone | Others |
---|
Step 2: Engraving and cutting process
Please test the material before you start engraving the bag.
Position the fabric into the laser with the inside down and start with the first graphic. Of course, you can personalise and individualize the bag before that. Once you have cut out the laptop cover, turn it and use the laser to mark the seam line (if required)
Adjust the parameter settings. The parameters can differ depending on the laser machine used and laser power available. (Please note: the parameters for black are only necessary if you also want to engrave it.)
Laser Parameters (optional):
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engrave CO2 | 80 | 30 | 500 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|
1 | on | - | - |
Laser Parameters (cutting):
Colour | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cut CO2 | 10 | 1.5 | 1000 |
Blue | Cut CO2 | 7 | 2 | 1000 |
Colour | Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Advanced |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | 1 | on | - | - |
Blue | 1 | on | +3mm | - |
Step 3: Finishing
Insert the eyelet before you close the lateral seam. Please follow the instructions provided with the eyelets.
Then close the seam on the left and the right side of the cover. The scratching lines help you to use the correct position for the seam.
Now insert the rubber band, knot it together and your laptop bag is ready.
