Step 1: Import design

You can use our graphic as a template to create your own individual design for the photo frame out of solid wood. Send the job to the laser using the driver settings below:

Step 2

Step 2: Laser engraving the photo frame

Lay the photo frame on the bed of your Trotec laser machine. Make sure the areas to be engraved are flat because you will be engraving both the wooden frame and glass in one pass (note you will also need to position a distance holder due to the leg on the back of the frame). Focus on the glass.

As we engrave materials with height differences you must calculate the z-Offset. In our case we put an offset value of +7 mm as the height difference between the two materials is 7 mm. Please note the parameters can vary depending the machine you are using and available laser power.

Tip:

You can use leftovers of acrylic or MDF for the distance holders. Cut them in circles or cross-shapes.

Step 3: Cleaning

Clean the photo frames with a damp cloth and remove dust residue. Your photo frame is ready for display.
