Step by step guide

Create your own set of fridge magnets with our instructions and laser cutting template.


Preparation

Required material:

Use laserfoil laminates or a printed polyester with a magnetic film on the backside

Used Trotec Laser:

  • Speedy300
  • 60 watts
  • 2 inch lens

Tips:

  • Defocus slighty for an even engraving result
  • Don't cut through the laminate, only process a kiss-cut.  Like this You can take out the material in one piece and then break out the little pieces without any problem.

Step by Step

Step 1: Magnets made from laserfoil laminate

Open the PDF file and send it to the laser for engraving and cutting the magnets. The laser parameters may vary, as they depend on the machine used and the available laser power.

Recommended laser parameters:

Black (engraving): power 50 %, speed 80 %, frequency 500 ppi, Air Assist on
Red (cutting): power 45 %, speed 1 %, frequency 1000 Hz, Air Assist on
