Step-by-step tutorial
Produce this 3-coloured sign in retro style. By sticking on elements you get quite simply an interesting 3D-effect.
Create your own design or use our template. Now send the job to the laser with the settings below.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |
---|---|---|
Standard | 500 dpi | none |
Halftone | Others |
---|---|
Color | optimized geometries, inner geometries first |
The above parameters refer to the Speedy 400 model. If you already have a Speedy 400 NEW (with Optimotion) in use, you can set the cutting parameter (red) to power : 50% and speed : 2%. The laser device regulates the required speed automatically.
Now make the parameter settings. Our suggested parameters may vary depending on the laser machine used and the available laser power.
Remove the protective foil from the top of the TroLase plate. Then place the material on the acrylic grid cutting table in the laser machine. Cover the remaining area to create the best possible vacuum.
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Black | Engrave CO2 | 35 | 75 | Auto PPI |
Red | Cut CO2 | 42 | 1.2 | 1000 |
Blue | Cut CO2 | 20 | 10 | 1000 |
Passes | Air Assist | Z-Offset | Direction | Advanced |

The above parameters refer to the Speedy 400 model. If you already have a Speedy 400 NEW (with Optimotion) in use, you can set the cutting parameters (red and green) to 80% power and 1.1% speed. The laser device regulates the required speed automatically.
Now make the parameter settings. Our suggested parameters may vary depending on the laser machine used and the available laser power.
Leave the protective film on the top and bottom of the TroGlass plate. Place the material on the acrylic grid cutting table in the laser machine. Cover the remaining area to create the best possible vacuum.
Cut the TroGlass in two steps: in the first laser process, skip the cutting color green so that the base plate (cutting colors red and blue) is cut first.
Then remove all parts from the laser unit. Now remove the protective film from the back of the remaining plate and apply a double-sided adhesive film instead. Place the remaining TroGlass plate back in the same position in your laser device (adhesive film on the underside). Start the laser process for the cutting color green (lettering), skipping the cutting colors red and blue.
Color | Process | Power (%) | Speed (%) | ppi/Hz |
---|---|---|---|---|
Red | Cut CO2 | 30 | 0.2 | 5000 |
Blue | Cut CO2 | 20 | 10 | 5000 |
Green | Cut CO2 | 30 | 0.2 | 5000 |

After the last laser process, remove the individual elements from the laser unit and remove the remaining protective film from the top of all cut parts.
To attach the parts to each other, first remove the protective film from the back of the large TroLase shield. Now stick the TroLase label on the red TroGlass label according to the marking.
Then glue the two smaller TroLase plates ("N. One" and "Freshly baked") to the markings on the large TroLase plate.
In the last step, remove the protective film on the back of the red Troglass lettering. Glue the individual fonts to the upper left edges of the font engravings on the TroLase. The engraving results in a shadow that runs down to the right.
Once all fonts have been glued on, the sign is ready for use!
Choose a color combination for your needs - both the TroLase and the TroGlass are available in different colors in our shop!
