A laser indispensable for Makerspaces.
Makerspace PXL
Makerspace @ PXL/UHasselt is an open, multidisciplinary, technological 'maaklabo' where young and old can experiment with technologies and follow guided technology workshops, training courses or courses. In other words, a technological library 2.0, in an inspiring, multidisciplinary setting. Makerspace @PXL/UHasselt was founded in 2015.
As a Makerspace, you need to have the latest technologies in house. The most diverse creations are made here: models, housings and growth gauges for children's rooms. All this can be processed extremely precisely by the laser. The materials most commonly used by our visitors are: 3 mm MDF, plexiglass, cardboard and other types of wood.
We chose a Speedy 100 from Trotec Laser because of the quality, the user-friendliness of the software, the minimal maintenance and the long life of the laser source. We are very satisfied with the laser machine.
