Jewellery display
See how you can produce an individual jewelry display using different acrylic sheets.
Preparation
Required material
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Clear 8 mm
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Clear 5 mm
- 1/4 sheet TroGlass Satins Orange translucent with double-sided adhesive foil on both sides
Machine used
- Speedy 400
- 120 Watt
- 2.5" lens
- Acrylic lamella or vacuum table with acrylic grid or distance holders
This sample can be produced with any machine of Speedy family or SP series. For high-quality and efficient cutting of 8 mm acrylic you need laser power of 80 W or more.
Important
- Remove the protection foil from top of the 5 mm and 8 mm acrylic before laser processing
- Cover the rest of the working area for a better vacuum effect
Step by step

Step 7: Post-processing and assembly
To assemble the parts, first glue the colored acrylic parts on the 5 mm clear acrylic. Make sure that the pieces are exactly positioned above each other. Next position the 8 mm acrylic part with the engraving inside on the colored parts. By doing this the engraving is protected.

Inspirations
For an even more individual presentation of your jewelry, use displays in other shapes, material thicknesses and material combinations. If you are using only few thin acrylic sheets, cut a base to let the display stand stable.
