Important
  • Make sure you remove the protective foil from the acrylic sheets prior to laser processing
  • Cover the remaining working area with spare paper or acrylic to achieve a stronger vacuum

Step 7: Post Processing & Assembly

Now it's finally time to assemble the display! First, you'll need to glue the coloured acrylic onto the 5mm clear acrylic. Ensure that the pieces are all positioned exactly above one another. Then, position the 8mm acrylic part (with the engraving inside) onto the coloured parts. The engraving will be protected this way, and it will give the display a very aesthetically appealing look.

Inspirations

Want to really wow your customers? Create some displays in other shapes, sizes, thicknesses and maybe try using some different combinations! If you are only using a few thick acrylic sheets, try cutting out a base for the display to sit in. This will ensure the display won’t fall over.
