Step by Step

Step 1: Design

Have a go at creating your own design, or feel free to use our template. Send the completed graphic to the laser machine using the following print settings:

Process Mode Resolution Cut Line
Standard 500dpi None
Halftone Others
Colour Optimal Geometries, Inner Geometries First

Tip:

So that the tree holds well once cutting the base plate, just ensure you measure the thickness of the wooden plate in advance. As a guideline, begin with a cutting gap of approximately 0.2mm when cutting with a 2" lens.

Step 2: Laser Process - Tree

Now it is time to enter the parameter settings. Remember: Parameters may vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available power.

Laser Parameters Colour Process Power (%) Speed (%) ppi/Hz
Engraving Black Engrave CO2 50 50 500
Cutting Red Cut CO2 95 0.8 1000
Laser Parameters Passes Air Assist Z-Offset Direction Advanced
Engraving 1 ON +4mm Down -
Cutting 1 ON - - -

Tip:

To achieve a higher contrast in the engraving, lift the Z-Offset to about +4mm.

Step 3: Bauble

You are welcome to use our template and design. But if you're feeling creative, why not design and create your very own bauble? Send the graphics to the laser machine using the following print settings:

Process Mode Resolution Cut Line
Standard 500dpi None
Halftone Others
Colour Optimal Geometries, Inner Geometries First

Step 4: Laser Process - Bauble

Send the following parameters for the bauble to your laser machine. Please note that the settings may vary depending on the laser machine you are using and its available power.
