WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement, a global hub that aims to develop skills and excellence in various fields through competitions worldwide. Part of this project is JuniorSkills, the program dedicated to the development of the skills of secondary school children.
JuniorSkills is Russia's national program offering early career-guidance and basic professional training for school students. It is held in Moscow on May 23-27. About 160 young participants from all over Russia as well as from other countries (Switzerland, Belarus, etc.) will compete in 16 different skill challenges to show their expertise in different fields.
JuniorSkills aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn about different job professions. They can match their personal skills as a guidance for their future careers.
On May 25th there will be a round table discussion about organizing the JuniorSkills Championship in 2019 for participants from all over the World. The JuniorSkills event in 2019 will be held in Kazan, Russia.
The JuniorSkills event is organised and financed by the Oleg Deripaska’s Foundation for Social Innovations. It is one of the biggest charities in Russia and has been established in 1998 by Oleg Deripaska, a Russian industrialist and entrepreneur.
The Oleg Deripaska’s Foundation is supporting areas like education, science, culture, environment, territorial development, animal protection and social support.
