During Fespa 2015 in Cologne, the European Digital Press (EDP) Association celebrated the Winners of their 9th EDP Awards. With this Awards EDP honores the most innovative developments in the printing industry.
JobControl Vision uses a USB camera and registration marks to determine the position and rotation of printed sheet material on the working area of the laser. The camera reads the registration marks prior to the cutting process and compares the read positions on the printed design and the target position in the original cut file. Any deviations are adjusted automatically. There is no need for manual alignment which speeds up the production and costly miscuts can be avoided. The result is a perfect and accurate finishing of print materials.
The European Digital Press Association (EDP) counts 20 member magazines all over Europe, covering 25 countries and reaching more than a million of readers in Europe. The Association grants the EDP Awards to the best products of the year introduced in the European market to acknowledge the value of the research and development tasks of the industry. Evaluation is based on innovation of the new developments.
