LaserPaper Wedding Invitation

Create your own unique and intricate wedding invitation using Trotec's LaserPaper colours range. This product is specifically designed for laser processing and can be used for various designs like greeting cards, name tags and even paper gift boxes.

What you'll need

1 sheet LaserPaper Colours - Blue
1 sheet LaserPaper Colours - Cottage Red with self adhesive backing

All materials can be ordered from our engraving supplies webshop.

Machine used

Speedy 100 60 Watts with a 1.5" lens.

Any Speedy-series laser engraver can be used to make this sample.

Tips

We suggest using two contrasting colours for your design. Darker colours will naturally bring out the visual impact of the finished engraving results. Use a 1.5" lens for detailed cuts.

Step by step

Step 1

Step 1: Design

Create your own design or use our template for the wedding invitation. Send the two graphics to your Trotec laser with the following settings.

Step 2

Step 2: Laser cutting and laser engraving the LaserPaper

Gently place your paper sheets in your Trotec Laser. Be sure to cover the rest of the working surface with a flat substrate, like plain paper. This will help to create a strong vacuum and will stop the rest of the material from shifting slightly. Take note that the parameters are likely to vary between laser machines and the power available.

TIP:

In this tutorial we made use of standard laser parameters that had been adjusted slightly. We always advise that you test your setting and adjust them accordinly depending on your laser and the power available. The material parameters of JobControl can be downloaded from www.troteclaser.com

Step 3: Assembly

Take the blue engraved LaserPaper, fold along the scored edges, and stick the red LaserPaper into the center.
