Snack bowl made from TroCraft Eco
In this tutorial we’ll show you how to make a foldable snack bowl using TroCraft Eco, our sustainable and ecological laser material.

Preparation
Needed material
- 1 full piece of TroCraft Eco 1.0mm
- Overlay fabric of your choice
Trotec laser used
- Speedy 360, 100 watts
- 2" lens
- Vacuum table with honeycomb cutting table
Remember, one could make the same pattern using our other laser machines within the Speedy laser engraver series.

Step 1: Design
Upload the provided images and adapt them as you feel fit. Transfer the images for the snack dish to your Trotec laser using the below printer settings:

Step 2: Laser processing TroCraft Eco
Position the TroCraft Eco (which consists of pure cellulose fiber) on the honeycomb cutting table in your laser and cover the remainder of the work space to ensure a stronger vacuum. The parameters can differ depending on the laser machine used and laser power available.

Tip:
Take note that the inside of the snack dish is the bottom of the sheet.
If you would like to see the engraving on the inside, cut the dish out first (without engraving). In step 2, we'll remove the cut dish and place it upside down in the same place you had it in the laser before. Now set your engraving parameters to active and deactivate the two cutting parameters. This will create the engraved pattern, visible on the inside of the dish at a later stage.

Step 3: Bending
Gently bend the four marked fold lines. Repeat the bending until the edges fold easily. In the following step, bend the four middle cut lines in the opposite direction. When you start to see a folded dish shape, place the fork into the two recesses. Now you can put the dish aside and it will still hold its shape.
