Personalize wallets, belts shoes and other accessories.
With a customised leather engraving machine, you'll be able to simply offer leather a high quality finish. From synthetic leather wallets, alcantara purses, briefcases, suede bracelets, belts or shoes - with a Trotec etching laser leather is etched quickly and simply.
Leather is used in the production of clothing, gift items and decorations. Laser engraving creates a tangible haptic effect on the leather surface. In this way end products can be given a special finish or customized.
Leather is tough and offers strong resistance to every tool used on it. The only exception: The laser beam. Laser processing is contact-free. Another positive side effect: The laser produces consistent results, without wear and tear. The laser beam melts the material and the results are clean, perfectly sealed edges.

Is it necessary to fixate the material on the operating surface?
No. In laser processing, no pressure is exerted on the fabric. No clamping or alternative form of fixation is needed. simply insert the workpiece and begin lasering. this protects time and money in material preparation.
What should be taken into consideration when processing genuine leather?
Genuine leather is a natural material, and there are unnumbered varieties that respond separately to laser processing. Therefore, it is difficult to work out general rules for processing. Generally, however, the subsequent is said: If real leather is distorted, scale back the laser power. this is often as a result of an excessive amount of heat acts on the material.
You can process both genuine and synthetic leather, aka. leatherette, with the laser. Note, however, that synthetic leather often contains PVC compounds. Such materials must not be processed with the laser. There is a danger that harmful gases may be released.
One must distinguish between genuine leather and leatherette here. For genuine leather, we unfortunately cannot recommend any cleaning agents. Too aggressive cleaning agents can dry the material out or form spots. If you still want to use a cleaning agent, please try this on an inconspicuous area or even better on a test strip. Leatherette, by contrast, can be easily cleaned with a damp sponge without losing its shape.
