Grumpe's Specialties Shares Story with Trotec

Published on: 03/01/2016

In 2016, we are on a quest to learn more about what inspires our customers' creativity, and what makes them successful. To that end, we sent an invitation to our customers to share their story with us, including how they use their Trotec laser and how it has changed their work. All who responded were entered in a drawing for a free rotary engraver and will be promoted on our website and in social media and email blasts. We were thrilled with all the replies and would like to extend a special thank you to all those who shared their stories with us.

And the winner is ... Grumpe's Specialties

The winner of the drawing is Grumpe's Specialties. The Grumpe's Specialties story began in Baird, Texas in 1981, where the company opened its doors as a candy repackaging and specialty repackaging company. Since that time, the company has grown to include an on-site lollipop factory and expanded its customer base to all 50 states and several countries. Grumpe's main niche is making and personalizing lollipops for the promotional industry.

How Grumpe's uses their Trotec

Gordon Washington from Grumpe's Specialties explained that their original laser took nearly three hours per run to cut down to the required thickness. Their new Speedy 100 laser can cut a full run in less than one hour and cuts a neater and cleaner line."

We really enjoy how easy it is to work within Corel Draw and Job Control to set up our Trotec laser jobs," says Washington. "During our busy promotional months, our laser has to burn and burn to keep up with our candy production."
