Step by step

Step 1: Your graphics
Import the “Christmas Village” file consisting of 6 tabs into a graphics software of your choice. Each tab will contain the different elements of your village, including houses, roofs, and trees. We designated white for houses, black for roofs, and green for trees, however, you can coordinate these hues to the style and colors of your table.

Step 2: Parameters
We have used a Speedy 360 (80 W) for cutting 160-g paper. Place the paper into the machine, then use the following laser parameters:
Laser Settings
Kiss-cut: Power: 9% - Speed: 2% - Frequenzy: 1000 Hz -
Air Assist: ON - Z-Offset : 1.5
Cutting 1: Power: 9% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000 Hz -
Air Assist: ON
Cutting 2: Power: 20% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000 Hz -

Step 3: Assembling the pieces
Once the paper has finished processing, remove the pieces from the laser bed, and assemble. To build the houses, start by folding and gluing the walls, and then add the roof. Connect the two pieces to form your trees.

Step 4: Tips & Tricks
- We used the ultrasonic technology of the Speedy 360 for optimal and precise focusing
- Use a black background to make the village shine
- Place small LED candles inside the houses to make them glow
- Spray artificial snow onto the rooftops once the village buildings to create a sense of magic
