Get started after just half a day of training!

Learning how to operate a Trotec laser is easier than you think. In fact, half a day of training is the average time it takes to start laser cutting and engraving.

Understanding the functions of the laser control panel can take just five minutes. Explanation of the mechanical settings will also take a short period of time, however, the key portion of the instruction is the handling of the JobControl® laser software. This will only take a few hours thanks to its intuitive, user-friendly interface. The three modes of the JobControl® software are based on the needs of the user: Beginner, advanced and expert mode.

After set up of your laser is complete, initial instruction of the system can begin. During this half-day session you will learn all basic laser and software operations. With this knowledge, you can laser engrave and cut a wide variety of impressive products.

Initial training during laser installation

Installation of your laser, along with training carried out by your service technician, will take place within the same time frame. Training normally takes a total of three to four hours and involves two sections: the running of the laser machine and the operation of the software. Below is a list of topics that will be covered during the session:

Laser machine (hardware)

  • Laser safety
  • Maintenance and cleaning
  • Replacing laser lenses and nozzles
  • Replacing the processing table

JobControl laser software

  • Data transfer from the graphics software to the laser software
  • Print settings for the laser process
  • Selection of the right laser parameters depending on the material
  • Tips for saving time
