Step-by-step instructions
Make a personalized Valentine's card using the step-by-step instructions below.
You can use any laser machine from the Speedy laser engraver series to make this sample.
If you wish to create finer cutting details, we recommend using the 1.5 inch lens.
First, you'll need to determine what design you want to use for the card. You may use our template linked below, or you can create your own design. Then send the job to the laser using the following driver settings.
Process mode | Resolution | Cut line |

The small heart shaped designs are a perforated to help you to remove the heart. You can use the heart for other purposes.
Depending on laser machine you are using and laser power available, your material parameters will vary. To determine your paremeters, you may need to perform a few tests. Once you've determined them, adjust your material parameter settings. We used several parameters that were optimized for the fast and slow cutting, for light and deep engraving, and for scratching.

Next you should cover the rest of the engraving area. This will help you achieve full vacuum to hold the paper in place.
Once you're finished processiong, you can gently remove the dust with a damp cloth. Make sure that the cloth is not too wet, otherwise the paper may arch or tear.
