Step-by-Step instructions and templates
Here is an easy step-by-step guide and a template you can use to make a decorative pen display. Simply download the template and modify the dimensions to fit your pens.
We used MDF and TroLase engraving materials (available at www.engraving-supplies.com).
For this sample you can use a Speedy 360 or Speedy 400 laser machine from the Speedy laser engraver series.
Import our design template into your graphic program and modify it to meet your preferences or requirements.

Cut out MDF parts using the acrylic cutting grid table. Then cut and engrave the acrylic. To avoid back reflections on the material, use the acrylic cutting grid table or the acrylic slat cutting table. Next cut the letters out of TroLase Lights.

After you have finished laser processing the materials, clean all parts using a damp cloth. Glue the two MDF parts together and add the acrylic piece on top. Make sure that all pieces are positioned precisely on top of each other. Use an angle stop if necessary to make sure the parts do not shift. Next, glue the letters made of TroLase Lights on the acrylic. Finally, insert the stands into the slots at the back of the display.
Modification tip:
If you wish, you can directly engrave on the acrylic instead of using the adhesive letters.
