As an established graphic design studio with multiple creative minds constantly buzzing with ideas, they started out using their laser by testing their own ideas first. They saw laser machines as a unique outlet for their ideas with the added benefit of tangible creations. By creating their own products, they were also able to use their creative freedom without being dictacted to by a brand. Through doing this, their designers were encouraged to use their individuality, which combined with the 3D aspect of laser produced products, added an extra element to their concepts.
Ria's perception of the laser cutting industry is that, people generally show interest in the industry as a business and then create standard applications, such as branding items, signage, engraving etc. Whereas Green Grass Design prides themselves in innovative designs that transfer through to their final product. "I think what is amazing is that, what you visualise, you can cut - and the ease of having your own machine"
