AVK Plastics from the Netherlands are using five laser systems for marking their plastic pallets.
AVK Plastics, situated in Bal (the Netherlands) is part of the international operating AVK Group. This Danish multinational is active in more than 80 countries. AVK Plastics is within the AVK Group THE expert in high quality plastics. AVK Plastics produces plastic street pots and accessories for the access and operation of underground appendages. Next to this, the production of plastic pallets is very important for AVK plastics.
Thousands of kilo's plastics are daily processed into pallets, street pots and accessories, through an automatic injection molding process. The pallets are produced in a sustainable way, from recycled HDPE. A lot of these are EOS pallets, European OneWay System pallets, which are used for exporting. A growing part of the production of pallets is marked with a client specific logo and contact data, since they use the 5 Trotec laser systems.
“We have chosen for laser systems, because it's a one time investment. In the past we used stickers, but the costs for materials are recurring and the chance of malfunction is higher. The lasers are now only used for marking the pallets, but in the near future we would like to expand that to other products", Peter de Greef, project leader AVK Plastics.
“We've chosen Trotec, because we wanted quality as well as know-how. Of course we made a comparison between several laser producers, but the quality of the Trotec marking was the best one. We had a very pleasant cooperation with Trotec. They not only deliverd the laser systems, but they also helped thinking for an ultimate set-up. In the end, we took care of the integration process. This took some time, but we're very happy with the result", Peter de Greef.
Trotec wishes good luck to AVK Plastics with producing even more sustainable and personalised pallets. Do you also want to build a sustainable future? Please contact us for the possibilities of laser technology in your organisation.
