We recently decided to have our laser materials tested according to the ISO 4892 International Standard. Real weather conditions were simulated as our materials were exposed to UV-fluorescent lighting, heat and moisture for 1200 hours. There was a total of three test cycles.
During the testing phase, our laser materials did not show any signs of chemical reactions or changes. This means that all tested materials successfully passed! These materials are now labelled with an external icon, as you can see on the right. This icon allows you to quickly identify whether the laser material is suitable for exterior use. A material that is considered to be UV-resistant is resistant to ultraviolet (UV) light or sunlight.
