For this year’s release of our marking software SpeedMark, some customer requirements, as well as further improvements of user friendliness, were in the focus of our software developers. Since the end of July, the new version SpeedMark 3.8 has been available.
Further improvement of user friendliness was the main objective for the new release. 2D segmentation was significantly revised and greatly improved. Now you have a complete overview of the entire marking area, where the individual contents are divided into individual marking segments. With the teaching function for axles, you can adopt and select the current position in the axle command. Moreover, you can view the planned marking time that SpeedMark calculates from the laser parameters and filling line distances per object.
Clarity in the material database has also been improved – you can now arrange the material parameters alphabetically. In addition, if you have selected any object, you can immediately skip to the relevant material parameter.
In the graphics field, you can precisely move objects using the arrow keys. At the same time, selected objects can be fixated in order to prevent unwanted shifting. The line width, which can be adjusted by wobbling, is now also displayed correctly in the graphics field. Furthermore, you can individually configure and adapt the array function.
The useful function of boarder marking (displaying the marking object by pilot laser) has been expanded: Radial texts are now also displayed correctly, facilitating positioning considerably. The cleaning function also adapts to round objects now. In addition to this, the cleaning function now also allows changing the filling line spacing for the “cleaning process” in addition to the parameter.
In addition, some features were added to simplify technical support (log files, direct TeamViewer start, etc.). The new functions and features are now available for all marking lasers of the SpeedMarker series with fiber and MOPA lasers, as well as for the laser systems of the GS series.
