During the Christmas period, the table where you are going to receive your guests is certainly one of the key elements for the Christmas celebration. In this tutorial, discover our village which will find its place at the center of your table to embellish and illuminate it.

Step 1

Step 1: Your graphics

Import the “Christmas Village” file consisting of 6 tabs into your regular graphics software. Each tab will form a different part of your village: houses, roofs and trees. We have used white paper for houses, black for roofs and green for trees.

Step 2: Parameters

We have used a Speedy 360 (80 W) for cutting 160-g paper. Place the paper into the machine, then use the following laser parameters:

Laser Settings

Kiss-cut: Power: 9% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000 Hz -
Air Assist: ON - Z-Offset : 1.5
Cutting 1: Power: 9% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000 Hz -
Air Assist: ON
Cutting 2: Power: 20% - Speed: 2% - Frequency: 1000 Hz -

Step 3

Step 3: Assembling the pieces

Once the paper is cut, remove the various parts from the working table and assemble them. When building a house, fold and glue the walls, then add the roof once the glue has dried. To create the trees, simply combine the two parts.

Step 4: Tips & Tricks

  • For optimal and precise focusing, we have used the ultrasonic technology of the Speedy 360.
  • Use a black base to make the village stand out
  • To illuminate the interior of houses, place a small LED candle inside
  • To create a winter effect to your village you can add artificial snow to the ground and rooftops
