For the fifth year, Trotec will present laser technology at the 14th international Fablab conference in Toulouse in France. From July 16-20 Fablab Network members from more than 1,200 worldwide Fab Labs gather to share, discuss, collaborate and create communities regarding digital manufacturing, innovation, and technology.
FAB14 offers visitors and exhibitions demonstrations, hands-on activities and talks featuring global opinion leaders and visionaries. This year the focus will be on "Fabricating Resilience" which sets the stage for sharing experiences and creating a collaborative network. To make this possible 5 topics have been created to be developed that can create a big impact in the region, which are: FOOD, MOBILITY, MACHINES, MONEY AND ACCESS.
M.I.T. professor Neil Gershenfeld is sharing his vision about the future of FabLabs and how Trotec laser machines can contribute to this development.
Experienced Trotec laser users will introduce the maker community to laser technology in workshops. Speedy laser machines are ideal for typical applications in FabLabs such as model making, prototyping, industrial design, and DIY. Graphics and designs can be sent to the laser immediately for easy testing. The innovative flexx technology offers unlimited possibilities for creative laser applications. Practically any material can be laser engraved or cut with the flatbed laser systems of the flexx series.
